The Rhode Island SPCA cares for over 1000 dogs, cats, puppies, kittens and small animals each year. We would not be able to give these animals the quality care they deserve without the help of our dedicated volunteers. Our volunteers help walk dogs, socialize cats and small animals, clean kennels and cages, help at fundraisers and events, and a host of other things that help us run a thriving shelter.

We have several different ways you can help us fight animal cruelty and support the RISPCA. Click the categories below to find out more.

In order to ensure the safety of our volunteers as well as our animals, you must be 18 years or older and must be able to work independently without supervision. If you are looking to complete school service hours or projects or court-ordered community service, please email Samantha at snieva@rispca.com directly.
