Guess What?! We are happy to share that together, through our #SpringForward Virtual Fundraiser and the amazing #GivingTuesdayNow campaign, we raised $8,385 in support of our critical programs and services! For everyone who gave a monetary donation, shared our social media posts so we could reach more people or created an #unselfie video to share why you love the Rhode Island SPCA, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Support comes in many forms and we thank you for continuing to inspire us to keep pushing forward during these times of hardship and uncertainty.
As our state prepares to slowly re-open and lift restrictions to our daily life, we are developing new and innovative ways to ensure we continue to provide the programs and services that our community needs. We are working hard to ensure that when we open the doors of our shelter, we will be doing so in a safe way for our animals, staff and visitors. Like you, we were looking forward to enjoying Spring and Summer events, farmers markets, and other gatherings. We love engaging with our community face-to-face and although we will miss it for now, we will find new ways to connect (stay tuned for some incredibly engaging “virtual” ways for us to have fun)!
This was not how we were expecting to celebrate our 150th anniversary but history has shown that we have faced many challenges and together we have persevered and 2020 will be no different! Although things may not be back “normal”, we are committed to the safety of our staff and community and we will make the best of it and celebrate in creative ways So, stay tuned for some fun new creative events coming soon as we adapt to this new way of operating.
We thank you again for your compassion and generosity.
