The Marvin Memorial Walk for the Animals is the Rhode Island SPCA’s major annual fundraiser. The walk is held in memory of our shelter mascot, Marvin the black lab, who helped raise $250,000 for the RISPCA during his lifetime.
On August 24, 2013, we will hold our 11th Annual Marvin Memorial Walk for the Animals at Goddard State Park in Warwick, Rhode Island.
Participants will enjoy a walk along the beautiful wooded trails of Goddard Park. Rest stops along the way provide the walkers and their dogs with water and snacks. Throughout the day, our guests are invited to interact with vendors, visit informational booths, and to participate in a number of fun activities including obedience demonstrations, pet contests, raffles, and more! After participants return from the walk, lunch is served and prizes are awarded.

Their is no minimum amount walkers must raise. The more money participants raise at this pledge style fundraiser, the more prizes they earn. The fundraising goal for individuals is $250.
